Information about Attending the Symposium

Arrival at the United Nations:

1. Please come to the Visitor's Entrance located on first Avenue, between 45th and 46th Streets.
2. You will go through a security screening, in the white tent in front of the UN, and then be allowed access to the UN main lobby.
3. The World Water Organization Information and Registration Desk will be in the main lobby on your right.
4. You will need to check in, at the WWO Registration Desk, in order to obtain a badge that will allow you access to the UN conference room.
5. Going through security and registration, along with going to the Conference Room, can take anywhere between 20 minutes to one hour, so please allow some extra time.
6. If possible, register early; the registration will be open from 8:00 - 9:15.
7. Please make sure that you bring an official photo ID, such as a passport or driver's license.

Food and Beverages at the UN:

1. There is a cafe located close to the Conference Room, where you can purchase breakfast and lunch.
2. The UN Staff Cafeteria is also available on the main floor of the UN.
3. If you decide to leave the UN for lunch, you will need to re-enter at the same Visitor's Entrance and go through security once again. Please allow time for this.
4. There is a buffet lunch in the Delegates Dining Room, you can make reservation by calling: 212-963-7626.
5. Food and Beverages are not allowed in the conference rooms.

Lodging - Recommended Area Hotels:
We have obtained special rates for the Symposium. A listing of those hotels is in
the website (www.theworldwater.org), with special instructions on how to register.

2. The Millennium UN Plaza Hotel (44th, between 1st and 2nd Ave.)
